It's been a while since I have been here and I apologize for that... I started LOAD (lay out a day) with Lain Ehman at the beginning of the month and have had the crud off and on almost since it started so it's been a long month.
That said I am excited to have started on my tutorial for the upcoming Operation Write Home blog hop and today's post will showcase a gorgeous sketch *and* a sneak peak.
I was in Hobby Lobby just killing some time after participating in the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure (my first 5 K) and popping in to drop something off for my friend who lives very close. Convenient huh?
I don't want to give it all away but the patterned paper at the top is by The Paper Studio and I found it while strolling through Hobby Lobby and the stamp... Can you believe how perfect this stamp is for Any Hero cards? I almost died when I saw it - no seriously it wasn't from lack of oxygen after the race it was the stamp. It is by Paper Inspirations and they had one that said Hero in the same design - it was so hard to pick just one... I digress the blue (is from Prism) and red (??) are scraps from my stash as is the white.
Anyway make sure you stop by on Memorial Day weekend (it goes live on May 29) to see the amazing talent of some of the card makers for Operation Write Home. Last I heard there were over 120...WOW!
What a terrific any hero card this will make. Very nice!

ReplyDeleteI saw that stamp when I got my "hero" one and couldn't decide... I'm so glad to see one of these "soldier" inspiration stamps on our blog!
ReplyDeleteHey Betty! I'm trying to leave a comment on your blog hop post, but am not able to for some reason. Love that you showed us four different variations on a sketch, and that's a great stamp - the Soldier one. Thanks for a great post. Happy Hopping!
ReplyDeleteWonderful card, thanks so much for sharing!
